Do all the online and tv gambling options pay any thing to support our schools

We have the Ohio Lottery who contributes but we are swamped with online betting and cable tv

betting sites and every where you go people are sending money to bet. We should find a way to

block all of those avenues unless a small percentage of the proceeds comes to the state for our schools. Thus problem solved.

Just like the lottery, everytime the state promises more money for the schools they take whatever it generates and then cuts it out of the budget for schools and adds it to the state budget.

The only way to get the state to contribute to the schools is to force them to by abolishing property taxes. Axohtax.com

My understanding is what the lottery brings in the State of Ohio then deducts that amount from what the state passes on to the schools. We were sold a bill of goods. It is not ADDITIONAL monies - it is simply a deduction from the State.

If we remove the property tax, do you think the state will fund the schools? Or will the state just let the schools wither and keep on pushing vouchers to private schools?

Maybe the best thing we can do is flip some districts, and or governor and have both parties involved in the running of the state for the first time in a decade or two.

Property tax has been found unconstitutional. The state needs to come up with a plan to fairly fund schools. But they won’t unless they are forced to. The way to force them is to abolish property taxes.
