Just for informational purposes, aka curiousity, if any care to share where they see deer in the city of Kent, please feel free. Feel free to also note any damage you may have had from deer. I put this up because this morning, after reading about deer in The Portager, out my back window was a doe and one fawn. I’ve noticed them (usually two fawns; perhaps one was hidden this AM) frequently on/around Crain and Lake streets and in between. They like some of our hostas, and dislike others. Little damage by them this year, thus far.
I live on Glad Blvd. At the beginning of the year I counted a herd of about 35 deer walking behind my neighbors house. We have numerous deer that sleep in our bushes, also about 6 local fawns. Just once I would love to see the 100 tulips I planted, or the 75 Glads. Or even the misc. seed flowers. What happened to the Hostis that used to surround my house. As far as fences go , I was working in my yard a doe walked past me 15FT. stepped over my 5’fence
that surrounds my garden and was eating my tomato plants. When I clapped and yelled , she just looked up and smiled and continued her meal. Next time I’ll tell you about the ground hogs and skunks.
