What an in depth report on the fire chief, but also some other issues that happened in 2025.

I would have to say that I’m sure the fire chief was cussed out by Kostensky; I’ve seen him in action and am very happy he’s gone. Sue Fields rarely speaks up, and that’s sad that she’s more of a follower than a leader. She has so much experience that she could pass along.

I wish, for 2026, that Brimfield can move forward now without all the past issues being dragged in. I hope our fire chief shows better leadership and control now that things are settled.

Again, thank you for such an in depth article to clear up the rumors that floated around in 2025.

I loved the opening sentence for the summary of this article on the main page. Two metaphors in one sentence! It was a delightfully visual way to introduce a story of what appears to be shenanigans (from a neutral outsider’s view).

so why was the 1000 dollar vacuum approved for purchase if the township had enough vacuums that a replacement for the one he backed over was not needed? hopefully it wasn’t hit with the snowplow the trustees approved him to buy for the station because that stayed in his garage at home too. and why was it shipped to his house? and was he asked to maybe bring the broken one in or just “dispose of it” at home?
