Admittedly I did not read the article I only read the brief in the news letter.
But, if you’re in the path of severe weather the recommendations are not to go to a county storm shelter which is probably far away.
The recommendation for decades that gives you the best chance of survival, is to hide in a sturdy building in an interior room with no windows, usually a bathroom or basement.
I like government as a service to people but asking for a county storm shelter seems a bit out of touch when we have schools struggling to make it.
